Oakland High School Dramatic Club wishes to thank all who cooperated in their play by loaning costumes and in selling tickets.
The cast of "The Alley Daffodil" was given a party at the Manhattan Hotel on Tuesday evening. As a part of the evening's entertainment each member of the cast was presented with some outstanding article which was mentioned in their lines of the play. Only the members of the cast were permitted to bring guests.
A turkey is to be given away on Wednesday, December 23. The proceeds will be used for both the boys' and girls' athletic associations.
The first basketball game will probably be played January 13 with the Friendsville team.
The Senior Girls' Glee Club sang between the acts of the play.
The sophomore class will sponsor and conduct the Christmas program in the auditorium Wednesday morning. On the program will be selections from the sophomore music class. Visitors will find a welcome.
Publication of the Christmas issue of the school paper, The Acorn, is promised for Friday afternoon.
