Full Text

Boston, September 6.

We hear from Bolton, that on Wednesday the first Instant, the Revd. Mr. John Walley was installed into the pastoral Office over the Church of Christ in that Town. The Rev. Mr. Stone of Douglas began the Solemnity with Prayer; the Rev. Mr. Fish of Upton preached a Sermon well adapted to the Occasion, from these Words, Acts v. 20. Go stand, and speak in the Temple to the People all the Words of this Life: — the Rev. Mr. Chaplain of Sutton prayed before the Charge: Mr. Fish gave the Charge and prayed after it; and Mr. Chaplain gave the right Hand of Fellowship: the Conclusion was as usual. There was no Interruption, but an uncommon seriousness and attention in a full Assembly throughout this public Solemnity.
