The season Parker won at Atlanta, La. Valdosta, Ga. Brunswick, for Fannin Bishop at Savannah, Ga. and Macon, Columbia, S.C. and won all but one when he came out second in a free for all race, being beaten by poor Walter F. who made 2:2. Mr. Verner purchased this beautiful animal at Lexington, Ky. two years ago. The horse is of the Wilkes breed and the trainer is confident he can now make a mile in 2:10 and will become one of the fastest on the turf. Mr. Verner has a pair of two year old fillies that are equally well bred and have not yet been worked for speed.
