This Is Employ The Handicapped Week
This is Employ the Physically Handicapped Week. It is designed to emphasize to employers the wisdom of engaging workers with physical short-comings for jobs which they are able to fill.
A physically impaired person who is unemployed because of his handicap is a burden on the community. Properly placed on a job, he is a tax-paying, community supporting and self-respecting citizen. This of course means it is good business to hire the handicapped. Good business for employers and good business for the nation.
