Independent Candidates are Wondering How They Can Get Into the Swim.

Considerable stir has been created by a rumor that the county commissioners have announced their intention of placing no independent ticket on the official ballot for the coming election. As there are a number of independent candidates, and likely to be more, they are now guessing how they will be able to get into the swim if there should be no independent ticket placed on the ballot. It is said that the alleged determination of the commissioners is based on a belief that the law does not contemplate that there shall be any tickets on the ballot except those representing some political party. This rumor as to the proposed action of the commissioners could not be confirmed yesterday.
