SUNBURG

Jan. 30.—Misses Ovidia and Agnes Ronholdt, Mrs. Moen, Mrs. Vinier Floten, Mrs. P. A. Gandrud and Mrs. A. J. Syse visited at the M. O. Mikkelson home Saturday afternoon.

Myrtle and Clarence Hagen were in Willmar Monday where they met their father, who has been in Savanah, Mo. for about two weeks where he had been treated for cancer in the lip.

Mr. and Mrs. Siver Strandemo from Kenyon are at present visiting at the Torgerson home.

Anton Gjerde from Boman county returned to his home Tuesday after visiting relatives and friends in this neighborhood for a couple of weeks.

Helmer Moen and Tosten Hande were Willmar callers Tuesday.

Gust Sanders was a Willmar caller Monday.

Miss Lillie Brekken is at present staying with Mrs. Edw. Ellingboe.

Theodore Syverson and Theodore Spaanum are busy nowadays doing some wood chopping for the Berg brothers.

Walter Anderson was seen in Sunburg Monday driving a new Chevrolet sedan.

Mrs. Olaus Torgerson and Mrs. Aug. Lindgren, who have been seriously ill, are reported a little better at this writing.

Jan. 30.—Mrs. A. Palmeson, Mrs. T. Syverson and Mrs. Atiltweed visited with Mrs. Hande Monday.

Mrs. C. Gulsvig and son Stuart called on Mrs. Art Reigstad Monday afternoon.

A large crowd attended the show given at the hall Sunday eve.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Reigstad were entertained for supper at Oscar Skindelien's Saturday eve.

Carl Ellingboe is sick with the flu. We hope for a speedy recovery.

A party was given at the Ed Ellingboe home Saturday evening. All report a good time.

Misses Esther Flolo and Grace Hande left for the cities on Saturday.

The high school students from Kerkhoven spent the week end at their parental homes here.

Mrs. Oscar Skindelien visited at the Mikkelson home one day last week.

Sigurd Halvorson returned Friday from the cities where he attended the funeral of an aunt.

C. G. Gandrud was a twin city business caller last week.

Miss Manda Skindelien is back at the C. Gandrud home doing housework.

Bob Ellingboe was seen out hiking on Sunday afternoon.

Carl Ellingboe has been on the sick list a few days last week.

Miss Agnes Dunham and Miss Miranda Rood left for Minneapolis Saturday where they will be employed for some time.

Christ Gandrud returned from St. Paul last Friday after attending the annual meeting of the Twin City Wholesale Grocery Co.

R. H. Torkelson received the sad message the early part of last week that his father, living near Breckenridge, had died. Mr. Torkelson left at once to attend the funeral.

S. J. Halvorson returned from St. Paul the latter part of the week. He was in attendance at the funeral of his aunt, Mrs. P. C. Tonning.

The Luther League will render a Lincoln program at the Sunburg church Sunday evening, Feb. 12.

Mrs. Elling Peterson and daughter Vivian and Merlaine visited at the Elmer Jorgenson home Monday.

Miss Grace Hancke and Miss Esther Flolo left Saturday for Minneapolis where the former will attend the vocational high school and the latter to seek other employment.

Florence Gandrud opened her school in Dist. 19 after a five weeks' vacation after Christmas.

Miss Manda Skindelien returned to the C. G. Gandrud home as housekeeper after a five weeks' vacation.

Florence Gandrud called at the P. A. Gandrud home Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Albert Ellingboe and daughter Lavine visited at the Carl Ellingboe home Sunday afternoon.

Curnell Ellingboe was a Kerkhoven caller Saturday evening.

Elmo Gulsvig, Kermit Gandrud, Adeline Gunnufson and Hildegard Quamme who are attending the Kerkhoven high school, spent the week end at their parental homes here.
