Capt. William Moore, of the Brig Africa, who arrived here on Sunday last from New-Orleans, bro't with him one George Cahoon, a Lad of about 15 or 16 years old, who says that he was (with the whole Family) taken about 10 years ago, from Cumberland County in Virginia, by the Indians, that his Father's Name was also Geo. Cahoon, and that three of his Brothers and three of his Sisters were still with the Indians when he was purchased by a French Officer and carried to the Mississippi; the said Lad is now by choice going to Trois Riveres in Canada attending on two young gentlemen, sons of the Surveyor-General of New-Orleans.
