FELL OFF THE WAGON

Plentywood was either well behaved over the holidays or the law was inclined to be lenient. At any rate the police court crop has been light the past week. Dewey Keller drew a fine of $10 and costs on a d. and d. charge last Saturday. Charles Howard drew a $50 fine on a nuisance charge when he pleaded guilty to peddling hootch. Joe Owjcik (you don't pronounce it, you whistle it) drew a thirty day suspended sentence for drunk and disorderly conduct. Fred Hibner was also nabbed for the same offense and was fined $25. The city's exchequer has been enriched by $259.50 from fines emanating from ill starred exuberance during the month of December.
