FROM PHILIPPINES

Creston, March 12.--Fred Taylor, director of agriculture of the Philippine Islands, has resigned his position and with his wife and family will at once return to the United States.

Mr. Taylor is a former Creston citizen and for many years made his home on a farm west of Creston. He was always a diligent student of agriculture and was a scientific farmer long before agriculture had become the science it is today.

He was interested largely in horticulture and tree culture and the Taylor nursery located here at one time was well known all over this section of the country.
