Full Text

We presume Mr. Biddle, is prepared to explain the transaction so explicitly set forth in the following article :-

United States Bank.--We invite the serious attention of our readers to the following article from the Pittsburgh American Manufacturer, received yesterday:-

ANOTHER " FAIR BUSINESS TRANSACTION !"

A person in this city by the name of Wilson, received a letter at the Post Office in this city on the 28th Sept. addressed to " Mr J. Wilson, Pittsburgh, Penn." Believing the letter for himself he opened it, when, lo and behold: it was signed Nicholas Biddle, President of the Bank of the United States, and contained a check for FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS, as a supplementary bonus for the base and unprincipled hireling in this city, who advocates with loathsome servility, the cause of the Devil and the Bank. This affair has already converted many honest Clay-men, whose eyes have been opened, and they now see.

It will be recollected that the above circumstance took place just preceding the election.
