NEW-YORK, APRIL 27.
FROM ENGLAND LATE.
Last night, by the Fanny, from Greenock, we received London papers, to the 15th March. Nothing of moment had transpired. The British King continued to recover his health. The invasion had not been attempted. Pichegru, it was said, had been arrested. Moreau was confined in the Temple. A British expedition had sailed for Boulogne, and very heavy firing was heard after their arrival. Earl Moira was to command an expedition against Holland. The Embargo was taken off. There was no confirmation of the capture of Elfinor by the French.
The Bulletin of yesterday states, "His Majesty continues to go on in a favorable way." Signed as usual.
Paris Conspiracy.... The reports on this subject, are numerous. The report of the capture of Pichegru is entitled to no credit; nor that M. eta and Carnot had been implicated in the plot.
Gen. Pichegru certainly was in England three weeks ago.
Accounts via Falmouth state, that the French fleet which escaped from Toulon, during Lord Nelson's absence in Algiers, had arrived Carthagena. It is said to consist of 14 sail of the line.
Sir Edward Pellew, who is off Ferrol, with seven sail of the line, has received the above intelligence.
