Full Text
Returned.--We see again on the streets of our peaceful village, Mr. Wm. C. McFefart, Co. H, 3d Regt. Wis. Vols., one of the heroes of Antietam, Gettysburg, and several other hard fought battles. We cannot but strew flowers of glory in the pathway of the returned hero; and hope that his stay with us may be crowned with the smile of peace, and the grateful throbbings of many kind hearts, so that when he again seeks the horrors of the battle-field, his reflections on home may be with peace and gratitude.
