TO WHOM WE OWE SO MUCH

We are truly grateful to those, our men and women, who so nobly sacrificed that we might continue to enjoy the privileges of "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness."

Our business houses will close tomorrow to show our respect and appreciation.

It is hoped that many of our citizens will join with the members of the American Legion, who, for the first time in many years are paying tribute to their departed comrades at Belmont Point Cemetery. It is also hoped that other groups will follow the example set by the Pioneer Women in placing floral offerings on the graves tomorrow.

Our cemetery has been a source of shame for many years, and tomorrow might be a good day to renew a pledge to our departed friends and dear ones to make their last resting place a spot of peace and beauty.
