Nothing is talked of but the approaching assembly of the States General being to be established in the city of Tours.-- The ministers will lodge at Amboise, and the king and royal family at Chanteloup.
It is at present said, that the national assembly will be convened this year, but, they add, not very soon, on account of the grand project formed for the secularization of all the Monks, and the appropriation of all their wealth towards making up the national deficiency. This supposition (if proposed) will, without doubt, meet a thousand obstacles, not only from the religious, but from the families who have established themselves round the convents, and are supported by them, and who, if they are deserted, will be ruined.
According to some, the states will assemble at St. Germain en Laye, and what seems to confirm it is, that the commissioners of the king's house have inspected what apartments there are for lodging a number of strangers.
