FLORENCE NEWS

Florence, July 7.--(Special.)--Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Coan and daughter Ruby are visiting with Mrs. Coan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gann, who reside at 819 Scott street, where they went to spend the Fourth. Mr. and Mrs. Coan will return home Sunday.

William Wright and son Elvin went to Missoula to spend their Fourth with Mr. Wright's daughter, Mrs. H. L. Showell, who resides at 240 First street.

Miss Ethel Wright and brother Elvin, who have been visiting with their sister, Mrs. Showell, expect to return home Monday.

Guy Welch and John Duffy were visitois in Missoula Friday afternoon. They also attended the boxing contest between Paul Cantway, better known as "Bitter Root Kid," and Paul Pollack.

Miss Violet and Edith Brown were visitors in Missoula Saturday. They also attended the Fourth of July celebration.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cantway returned to their home Sunday from Hamilton.

Dwight Carver went to Missoula to spend the Fourth with his friends and to attend the Fourth of July celebration.

Miss Anna Farrity and friends of Missoula were visitors here Sunday in Miss Farrity's automobile.

Mrs. Zell Morris has gone to the coast on account of poor health. She was accompanied by her husband, Mr. Zell Morris, and son Frank, who will return home after a few days' visit.

Inez Shaffer returned home Sunday afternoon after visiting over Saturday with friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Herbert went to Victor to spend the Fourth with Mrs. Herbert's mother, Mrs. Bond. They returned home Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hughes and little son went to Victor to spend the Fourth with Mrs. Hughes' father, Mr. Reever.

Will Thill was a visitor in Missoula Saturday.

The dance given by Frances Rose was not celebrated by a large crowd. The music was furnished by Henry Buker and his brother, The supper was given by Mrs. John Voss.

John Wimelt was a visitor in Missoula over Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Moore and children, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilson, and Mr. and Mrs. Willie Wilson left Wednesday for the Big Hole country.
