BOSTON, JULY 13.

Last Wednesday arrived here Capt. Cochran in a Schooner from Newfoundland, who informs, a French Frigate had been cruising there and taken several Vessels belonging to Newfoundland, which were ransomed. In Capt. Cochran came a Person who belonged to a Letter of Marque Ship, owned in Bristol, and sailed from Ireland in the Spring, bound for Newfoundland which Ship was attacked 7 days after he left Ireland, by a French Privateer, and by some Means one of the Enemy's Grenadoes got into her Magazine, which blew her up, whereby the whole Crew were blown up, except 5. The Captain of her was -Melone, and the Souls on board were 212 in Number.
