THRESHES FOUR TONS FROM SIX ACRES AVERAGE ABOVE 22 BUSHELS TO ACRE.
P. J. Rickert yesterday finished his threshing and reports that off of six acres of wheat he obtained four tons of threshed wheat. This averages a little more than 22 bushels to the acre, which is considered to be extremely good for the season. Mr. Rickert owns his own threshing machine which is gasoline driven and it took him about nine hours to complete the work.
The heads were well filled out and the grains full and large as well as perfectly matured. Part of the wheat will probably be manufactured into flour while a portion will be used for seeding for next year.
