BURKE ENDORSES THE JUDGES.

They Declare for the Renomination of Merrimon, Clark and Bynum.

(Special to STATE CHRONICLE.)

MORGANTOWN, N. C., July 9.—The following resolution was passed by the Burke county Democratic convention:

"RESOLVED, That Chief Justice A. S. Merrimon, Associate Justice Walter Clark, and Judge J. G. Bynum, enjoy and deserve the confidence of the people, and have, by their ability, learning, devotion to duty, and high moral characters, shown their fitness for the position that they now hold, and therefore the Democratic party of Burke deem it unjust, as well as impolitic, to select untried and unknown men in their places."
