Anti Masonic Convention.--A large and respectable meeting of citizens from various parts of Massachusetts and other States, was held at Dedham the 1st of January. Several resolves were passed against Free Masonry, in substance denouncing the title of the order as ridiculous and anti-republican--representing the funds of the Society as immense, and dangerous in their secret application--declaring William Morgan to be a martyr in the cause of liberty, and deserving a place in history as among the best benefactors of the human race--expressing a sympathy for Mrs Morgan and her two fatherless children, and resolving to raise a subscription for her relief, and generally avowing a determination to use all proper means to put down, Masonry, Doctor Benjamin Waterhouse was Chairman of the meeting, and Messrs Joseph Morton and Benjamin Fessenden, Secretaries.
