MUST AWAIT DECISION.
N. P. Is Refused Injunction Against Seattle Road.
The Northern Pacific legal department has been advised of an interesting decision, rendered by Judge Hanford at Seattle, involving the use of certain tracks used jointly by the Northern Pacific and the Seattle & San Francisco roads. The court holds that the Northern Pacific must await a final hearing and refuses to issue a mandatory injunction against the Seattle & San Francisco.
The case originated over a dispute as to the right of the Northern Pacific to delegate its tracks rights to a third party. It is commonly supposed that the coast line wished to give the Union Pacific entrance to the north coast over the disputed tracks.
