Chaplain Swift Heads Red Cross Committee

Richard Steinman, Chapter Chairman of Maricopa County, American Red Cross, announced today the appointment of Chaplain Charles Swift, Naval Air Facility, Litchfield Park, as Chairman of the Home Service Committee.

Mr. Steinman stated that this is the first time that a military man has been appointed to the office; however, Chaplain Swift has served in this committee post two years because of the closeness of the Red Cross to the Military in meeting the needs of military personnel in times of emergencies.

The Red Cross, being a member of the Phoenix United Fund, receives a substantial sum from both the civilian and military personnel of the Naval Air Facility at Litchfield Park, because of services given.
