The Council on Tuesday night passed a resolution lauding the public services of the late Stewart W. Baxter.

Mr. Baxter served as commissioner from 1922 to 1926, when he was appointed secretary of the Municipal Service Commission, serving in the latter capacity up to the time of his retirement eight years ago.

The resolution said: "The people of Wyandotte will long cherish his memory, and this Council believes that his public service should be permanently recorded in the annals of the city of Wyandotte."
