Luther L. Liggett, Marysville attorney, has announced he will be a candidate for prosecuting attorney of Union County, subject to the Democratic Primary election, May 4.
Now 30, Mr. Liggett is a native and life-long resident of Marysville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Liggett, 117 S. Maple st. He was graduated from Marysville High School, attended Ohio State University and received his law degree from Ohio Northern in 1942. He passed the bar examination shortly after graduation from college.
Mr. Liggett was inducted into the Army in 1942, spent three years with the Security Intelligence Corps and one year in Porto Rico with the Military Police. He was discharged from the Army in March, 1946, and entered the practice of law the following month. He has been clerk of the Board of Election since August 1947.
He is a member and first vice-commander of the executive committee of the Ohio State Junior Bar Association, and member of the Elks Lodge, County and State Bar Associations, and the Officer's Association. He is affiliated with the First Methodist Church.
