RAZED BY A CYCLONE.

Out of 350 Houses, 330 Are Reduced to Ruins.

Budapest, May 14.—A number of villages, including Balvanijes, Valaja and others, in Transylvania, were practically razed to the ground and many of the inhabitants killed or injured by a cyclone which swept over the district last evening. Out of 350 houses, 330 were reduced to ruins. Four bodies have thus far been extracted from the debris and the number of those injured is very large.

Other villages, including Craba, Ujfalu and Batonya were also greatly damaged by the storm.

Count Bethlen, the governor of the province, has ordered all the troops stationed in the district to assist the firemen in salvage work.
