Dr. W. Fulton Hume, son of Rev. and Mrs. Willis P. Hume of Oberlin, O., and nephew of Miss Emma J. Kinney and Elbert C. Kinney of Center Street, has been appointed resident surgeon of Strong Memorial Hospital of Rochester, N. Y. where he has been serving on the staff for four years.
In his new post, Dr. Hume will be responsible for all surgical patients in the school of medicine and dentistry of the University of Rochester and in the Strong Memorial Hospital. He will have five assistant resident surgeons and eight internes under his direction.
Dr. Hume is a graduate of Oberlin College and Harvard Medical School. He was a frequent Putnam visitor during his years at Harvard. His mother is the former Miss Etta Kinney of this city.
