Edinburg, Oct. 13. On Sunday Se'nnight arrived here in Captain Fillen's Ship from Petersbourg, Dr. James Mounsey, with his Lady and Family. He was Body Physician to the late Empress of Russia; on the Accession of Peter III. he was promoted to the Rank of Lieut. Gen. and was made a Privy Counsellor, Archbishop, and Chancellor of Medicine over all the Russian Empire. On the Death of the Emperor he obtained Leave from the present Empress, to come home with all his Effects. We hear he is to settle in Annandale, his native Country, where he has an Estate.
