Iceman Loses Eye Playing Ball

Practicing baseball for the opening season with the City Ice Delivery team proved disastrous Friday afternoon to June Smith of 420 Greensferry, when a ball struck him, dislocating his right eye ball. Smith, who was brought to the emergency clinic of Grady hospital, said that he was batting when the ball glanced off his bat and struck him in the eye.
