FEDERAL AGENTS ADMIT THEY CHASED RAINBOWS

(By United Press)

St. Paul, March 5.—Federal agents admitted today that they were chasing rainbows. Half a dozen reports from widely separated towns that Delbert Smith, alleged train robber had been seen yesterday failed to develop. Within a few hours Smith had been reported captured in Iowa, at Little Falls, and last, but not most hopeless, had given himself up to authorities here. He is wanted for taking over $60,000 from a Northern Pacific mail coach on February 18, and fatally wounding Mail Clerk Strong.

Three women with whom he was intimate are under arrest and will face arraignment Monday charged with complicity. Over $50,000 of the money was regained after authorities located the women.
