If any credit be due to letters from Copenhagen, the sudden removals of generals Cathcart and Stuart, who were to command the English expedition, bespeaks an intention on the part of the English government of yielding to the wishes of the king of Sweden by giving him the command of this expedition which is reported to be already at sea, though this seems impossible. At all events his excellency marshal Brune is to set off tomorrow for Schwerin, where he will for the present establish his head quarters. Two thousand peasantry are working at the fortifications of Rostock, and the army of observation is preparing a warm reception for the English. A part of the Dutch troops forming our garrison and a very strong detachment of gendarmerie, set out yesterday it is believed on their way to the environs of Stralsund. It is asserted that the rest of their comrades will soon follow them, and will in their turn be replaced by the other troops from Hamburg. The communication with Swedish Pomerania is at present suspended. The last courier from Stralsund is not yet arrived.
