It Will Compel Digging of a New Well at a Cost of About $3,500.
The water works plant had a serious accident that will cost about $3,500 to repair. In attempting to pull the strainer out of one of the wells the pipe broke off which was used to pull the strainer out and left five joints of pipe in the well, a long distance from the surface, and it can not be gotten out. This state of affairs will force the digging of a new well. The water at present furnished to the city is practically taken from one well. The new well will be ready for use April 1, barring all accidents.
