The message of the governor of Virginia, which we publish to-day, has prevented us giving the proceedings of Congress in detail, as we intend, during the present session, from the National Intelligencer, with as many of the debates as our limits will possibly admit. Nothing, however, of importance has yet come before either house to render their proceedings interesting.

The General Assembly of Virginia,

Met at Richmond on the 2d inst. a quorum of both branches were present. In the house of delegates all the old officers were re-elected. The annual communication from the governor was received and read. In the senate the office of sergeant at arms was abolished.
