HAMPTON (Global)-- Dr. Nancy B. Woolridge, National President of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, is making a careful study of Zeta Projects for their real value to the Community, and at the annual Boule in New Orleans La. during the Christmas Holidays, over 500 delegate Sorors will give and pool their chapter reports on their projects La-Cheerios and activities for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency- so as to grasp better ways to serve others.
Zeta has made marked progress under the regime of Dr. Woolridge with parenthood clinics having been conducted in various communities under the guidance of Lillian Fitzhugh and Phyllis O'Kelly, Chairmen of the Project on Control of Juvenile Delinquency; and the distribution of over 10,000 Cheer Cards to shut-ins through the Chairman of La Cheerios, Vashti Goodman of Greensboro, N. C. Much recreation work has been carried on also in keeping with the first Project. Dr. Woolridge has continuously urged Zetas the country over to give organized and directed community service such as was started by the late Atty. Violette N. Anderson when she, as the National President, set-up Zetas' national recreation project in Cooperating the Dickson Recreation Center with Soror Carolyn Williams serving as Director of the National Zeta Project, was continued under the Lullelia Harrison when St. Louis Zetas led the way Center under the leadership of Lou Swarz by purchasing a building and operating the Center. The Workshop on projects at the Boule will serve as an "Exchange" where Sorors may get information and some experience in carrying on work or service for others. The Meeting will be held from December 27th to the 30th inclusive.
