Lowell Rasmussen of Billings, Scout executive of the Black Otter district, Yellowstone Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America, was guest speaker at the regular meeting of Hardin Lions club here Monday night.
Rasmussen stressed the need for more Boy Scout troops in this area. He said many Cub Scouts advancing into the Boy Scout age can't join Boy Scouts because most of the present troops are filled to capacity.
At the conclusion of his talk he presented Dr. T. L. Kitts, Lions club president, with the charter of Pack 61, Cub Scouts of America.
Guests at the meeting were Donovan Juliar, Howard Morton and Fred Barrett, members of the Scout Pack committee.
The local Lions club again went on record as being in favor of supporting a proposed local talent show for the benefit of Rocky Mountain college.
O. E. Christopher, Douglas Freeman, Troy French, S. P. Louk, Gordon Powers, Leon Poitras and Dr. T. L. Kitts were presented with 100 per cent attendance pins for the past year.
