MIRIAM GARCIA RECEIVES
SUMMER SCHOLARSHIP

Miriam Garcia, '58, has received a Kiva Club Scholarship to pay for a summer's tuition at the University of New Mexico, which she is now attending. Scholarship requirements are a scholastic record of 1.0 average, good attendance record, and good conduct.

Miriam is a member of the Kiva Club, which is made up of Indian students attending the University. The funds for the scholarships are raised every spring when the club sponsors the Nizhoni Dances put on by teams of dancers from the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico.
