Brook Park

Frank Chase of St. Paul, called on Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Fohrman Wednesday of last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Scroggins and children and Mrs. Scroggins, Sr., arrived here Saturday and spent the week-end with her folks.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Prior were Pine City callers Saturday. Ted Clark of Rodman, Iowa, and an uncle, Tom Vandecar, of DeGrot, Iowa, were week-end visitors at the John and Geo. Clark homes.

Leonard Fosberg made a business trip to Hinckley Saturday.

Miss Virginia Schimed returned to her home at Robbinsdale Monday after a three weeks stay at the Flukey home.

Julius Karsh is now staying at the John Adams home.

Wm. Anderson and Otto Ziegler were chicken hunting at Sandstone Wednesday of last week.

Mrs. C. B. Kelsey and daughter Eunice left Friday for the Cities where Eunice will seek employment. Mrs. Kelsey remained in the Cities and visited relatives there until Monday.

Mrs. Robert Dicky, Miss Lorraine Nelson and Paul Wood spent the week-end with Paul's mother, Mrs. Wood.

Mrs. C. Maaske. Fred Maaske and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Westerman motored to North Branch Sunday and visited relatives there.

Ed Smith was a business caller in Pine City and Hinckley Saturday.

Mrs. Barney Swanson, Miss Marion Swanson, Mrs. Walter Walker, Mrs. Garel of Minneapolis. and Mrs. Era Luverine of Indiana, spent last Thursday at the Clara Wood home.

The Parent and Teachers Association held its first meeting of the year Wednesday evening of last week. A very interesting program was rendered by the local group.

Election of officers took place and resulted as follows: Art Klements. president: Mrs. Dean Fisher, vice president; and Mrs. Otto Ziegler. secretary and treasurer.

This was followed by a delicious lunch.

Boyd Fleming and Harley Finn were chicken hunting at Markville last Thursday.

Last Thursday evening guests at the Lloyd Vettling home were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mitchell of Chicago, Pete Dufee of Duluth, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. LeMay.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Cummings and children, Lola and Walter, visited relatives in Minneapolis last week-end.

Andrew Urbanski of St. Paul. is visiting his sister, Mrs. Stanley Gallis, for an extended time.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Mead and daughter Annabelle left for Fairmont Friday to visit with her folks. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mead, Sr., of Cross Lake, are taking care of the place while they are on their trip.

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Alderman spent Saturday here with their daughter Ethel Mae and other relatives.

Mr. Holmstrom of Henriette, put on a Ford tractor demonstration on the Elmer Chase farm Saturday.

The Methodist Ladies' Aid will hold its annual bazaar and supper at the town hall Thursday, October 17. Everybody welcome.

Stanley Peterson motored to Sandstone Saturday evening to get Ben Peterson who spent the week-end at the Peterson home. Other guests who visited over the week-end were Mrs. Ben Peterson and son Jimmy and Mr. and Mrs. Art Peterson and daughter June.

Norma Klements visited her folks. Mr. and Mrs. Art Klements over Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Gust Smith and Mr and Mrs. Julius Berndt arrived here from Wapeton. N. D.. Saturday and visited at the Henry Berndt home several days,

Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Trenda were week-end visitors at the J. Trenda home here.

Mr. and Mrs. Sig. Sorensen and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jensen of Askov, attended the birthday party in honor of Leo Gross Sunday evening

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Vettling and son Gene, Mrs. Stanley Fohrman and children, Donna and Billy, visited at the Guy McDermott home at Hinckley Sunday.

Mrs. Harold Ravenholt returned to her home in Minneapolis Saturday after spending a week with relatives here.
