Beautiful Venice Park, for years fighting against already established unfavorable conditions as regards access to the city proper both by lack of streets and lack of satisfactory transportation, a community that has courageously forged ahead despite discouraging conditions is now to be dealt a blow which may forever curb future development of that delightful section and will tend to greatly lower values which have been rapidly rising during the past two or three years.
Just as the West Side is blocked off from proper ingress to the city through the vacating of streets as called for in the Reading ordinance so is Venice Park.
Is this fair to the energetic citizens of that community who have in the face of continued discouragement built up a section of pretty homes, a most inviting entrance to the city along the Absecon Boulevard?
Instead of curbing the growth of this section as will be done if the ordinance is passed, and decision be made to eventually secure location of terminals on the meadows, Venice Park would then continue to forge ahead and similar attractive communities would be added to its boundaries, adding tremendous amounts of ratables to the city.
Give these taxpayers of Venice Park a chance to reap the reward of their struggle
