Zinika Lanumi's Corner.
For the Tribune.
WITH A BUNCH OF VIOLETS FOR LITTLE SUE,
On her Fifth Birthday.

Good morning, somebody! and how do you do.
Just wait till I tell you some news that is new
Just wait till I tell you some news that is true,
The jolliest secret that ever you knew,
I'm going straight over to see little Sue,
And carry her these.

Now, now, don't you tease!
Only say but just "Please!"
And I'll tell you some more. You may take two and two
And add one in between: then you'll know as I do,
Just how many new birthdays have come to our Sue.
Last year she was four,
Next year she'll be more,
But, sure's you're alive,
To-day she's just five.
