Williamstown, W. Va., July 30.—Owing to the bad weather the Episcopal social at the home of Mrs. W. G. Bailey was not very well patronized.
Mrs. A. Leonard and daughter, Miss Gussie, of Newell's Run, O., were guests last week at Dr. Cline's.
Mrs. Chas. Nixon, of Marietta, O., is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Kennedy.
Mrs. Addie Steinbeck, of Alum Bridge, W. Va., is visiting friends.
Miss Laura Page is Miss Lena Rutten Cutter's guest at St. Marys, W. Va.
Mrs. Lou Ogdin and daughter, of Parkersburg, and Miss Beulah Triplett, of Waverly, were guests at Jas. Patterson's the past week.
Mrs. Nettie Kepler is recovering from a severe attack of tonsillitis.
Mrs. John Davidson and son Howard of Charleston, are guests of Misses Fannie and Berta Henderson.
Mrs. Chas. Boyce and children are at Belmont, W. Va. visiting Mrs. Boyce's mother, Mrs. Jarvis.
Mrs. John A. Lenhard has been quite sick with quinsy, but is improving.
Mr. Loren Stewart, of Moundsville, is the guest of Chas. Rider.
Brady Nelson is very sick with typhoid fever. Misses Sallie and Daisy are some better at this writing.
George Hazelrigg was overcome by heat Tuesday afternoon.
Rev. C. B. Powell has been spending his vacation with friends in Ohio.
Mrs. Oliver Parker is entertaining as her guests her mother, Mrs. Whetstone, and Miss Emma Whetstone, of Rea's Run, O.
Misses Edith Rea and Bessie Snyder, of Matamoras, O.
Prof. G. H. Wilson has returned from a trip to Kentucky.
Miss Lizzie Bradley is home on a visit from Philadelphia, Pa.
Mrs. Sole, of Kansas, has been visiting Mrs. S. C. Sharp.
Miss Jessie Griffin is the guest of friends at Parkersburg.
Mr. J. W. Gregg, of Morgantown, W. Va., was in town recently, a guest at the home of Wm. McKenzie.
