Full Text

Rejoice.—A Democrat should be one of the proudest and happiest of men. There is not a single Department of the National Government, but will be under the charge of his Party. He can say,—and boast,—that the History of the Government is a history of his party. He may well feel as if he was a part of that history also. He belongs to the Noblest Party, which rules the Noblest Nation, upon which the sun shines. Next to being an American Citizen, comes our pride and our joy, that we belong to the National and Triumphant Democracy.
