GONE BELOW.—Hon. R. T. Sprague left here on the 25th ult., for Sacramento, for the purpose of assuming the duties incident to his position as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the State.

Mr. Sprague is one of the oldest settlers of this place, and he leaves here with the best wishes of many who are opposed to his political views, but respect him as a citizen and a neighbor. Mr. Sprague's political friends can safely rely on his faithful adherence to the party which elected him, and need indulge in no fears as to his ever betraying the trust confided to him, or imitating the traitorous example of O. L. Shafter. We wish the Judge a long life.
