Whig Meeting In York, PA. The Whigs of York, Pa., announce a great Whig Mass Meeting to be held at that place on Friday, the 4th of October next. They extend a general invitation to the people of Pennsylvania, and say that "Baltimore and the invincible Maryland line are also invited to unite with their neighbors of York on the soil of the 'Keystone,' and consult together in the spirit of citizens of the same country-part and parcel of the sacred Union, established by a common ancestry." They add that "the Whigs of the Borough of York will be most happy to hail with a hearty welcome all their friends from abroad--the 'latch string shall hang out,' and the good old Tippecanoe times shall come again."
