Full Text

THE LATE SNOW STORM.

Nearly eighteen inches depth of snow fell at New-York, during the 13 hours—for which the late storm continued. So great a body of snow was never known to have fallen before, at one time, in that city. Some of the narrow streets were rendered impassable for cars or sleighs. The storm extended to Philadelphia, where the depth of snow was about eighteen inches, a greater quantity than is recollected to have fallen, at one time, for thirty years past. The depth of snow in this town would not probably exceed nine inches.
