PITTSBURGH, NOV. 22.

Major-General Morgan, who is appointed to command the troops left in this country, has established his head-quarters at Bently's farm, on the Monongahela, where they have erected a fortification.

On Tuesday last Judge Peters and Mr. Rawle the attorney for the United States, for this district, closed the examinations of the persons apprehended in this country, said to have been active in the late insurrection—some were discharged, others held in bail, and the following persons sent under guard, to Philadelphia for trial,

John Hamilton,
Robert Porter,
John Lockary,
Caleb Mountz,
M. Curtis,
John Black,
Thomas Burney,
James Kerr,
John Corbley,
David Bolton,
Wm. Crawford,
Isaac Walker,
John Barrett,
T. Sedgwick, Esq.
James Stewart,
Joseph Scott.

We sincerely lament that a few designing persons should have had such an influence in this country as to draw, into their diabolical schemes, men who have heretofore been estimated good and peaceable citizens. These persons who signed the circular letter to the different commandants of regiments to assemble their men at Baddock's field, and who concerted and had executed the plan for robbing the mail, will, if not in this world, in that which is to come, have to answer for all the distress and misery which have befallen this country.

We hear that the party of men, that went in pursuit of David Bradford, came up with him near Limestone, but could not take him—he had a guard of sixteen men, and the party consisted of but eight.
