Mary Nichols Steals a Horse and Buggy in Order That She May be Sent to Albany.

Mary Nichols, a white woman about 45 years old, was charged in the Police Court to-day with stealing a horse and buggy, the property of Mr. Samuel Freas.

Mr. Freas testified that he was out driving last night and stopped on the Seventh-street Road and left his team standing in front of Mrs. Gallagher's. He had only been in the house ten minutes, when he was informed that his team was missing.

Officer Sullivan recovered the outfit late last night. He testified that when he arrested the woman, she coolly said: "Oh, I am tired of Washington and the d-d niggers, and I want to go to Albany."

Judge Mills held the defendant in $500 bonds for the grand jury.
