War time Thanksgiving was observed in Wrangell with union church services at the Presbyterian church at 11 o'clock in the morning and remainder of the day given over to family gatherings and dinners in the traditional style. Many uniforms were at the festive boards as Wrangell housewives opened their homes to see that no service man went without the annual turkey.
