Meeting of the Republican State Central Committee.

The Republican State Central Committee assembled in Baltimore, on Tuesday last for the purpose of determining the time and place of holding Congressional Convention. The First of September was fixed upon as the time for holding the several nominating conventions, and Cambridge, Dorchester county, was selected as the place for holding the Congressional Conventions for the Eastern Shore, or first Congressional District. The time and place for holding the primary meetings and county conventions were left to the members of the State Central Committee from the several counties to determine. The counties represented in the Convention from this Congressional District were Cecil. Kent. Queen Anne's. Caroline and Somerset. Talbot, Dorchester, Worcester and Wicomico had no members in the Convention.

The following resolutions were offered by Mr. C. C. Fulton of the American, and passed with great applause:

Resolved by the State Central Committee of Maryland, That we regard the war forced upon Prussia by France as an outrage upon liberty and civilization and entertain the earnest hope that Prussia may triumph in the approaching conflict.

Resolved, further, That as an evidence of our practical sympathy, the Treasurer of the State Central Committee be authorized to subscribe $100 in the name of the Republican State Central Committee of Maryland to the fund now being raised in this city for Prussian hospital purposes.
