Castle-Careinon, in Montgomeryshire, Feb. 17. A Taylor and his Apprentice, coming late from a Neighbour's House, over-heard a Man and his Wife (whose Voices they knew) consulting how to take another Sheep (having secured one in a Bag) and went away to seek out; whereupon the Taylor released the Sheep, and put his Apprentice in the Bag, assuring him he would protect him from Danger: The Man and Wife soon returned with their Booty snatch'd up the Bag and Boy, went home, and put down their Loading in an inner Chamber. Soon after the Taylor went to the House, and asked for his Apprentice; the Man and his Wife replied, That he was not there, neither had they seen him that Day : However, the Taylor, in a more threatening Tone, said that the Boy came into the House just before, and then called him by his Name. The Boy, in Hopes of Enlargement, answered, That he was there, tied in a Bag, which much surprised the Man and his Wife, especially when they went to see, and found, on opening the Bag, the Boy start up and walk to his Master, without speaking, leaving the Man and his Wife astonished and speechless at the mysterious Exchange.
