Full Text

Charges of peculation have been made against the Post Master at Louisville, through the Newspapers, to which J. M. Campbell has responded in a very satisfactory manner, in the Journal. The whole peculation, as far as we can understand, is, that he charged two of his Clerks five dollars per week board, when they conceived they were only to pay four. Yet so certain were some of the good citizens of Louisville, that this worthy and faithful officer would be removed, that we understand an editor wrote to this county, for letters of recommendation to supply his place!
