A dreadful accident occurred, on the 22d inst. in the neighbourhood of Philadelphia. A man having with him in a chair three children, the horse suddenly became frightened, ran away with the chair, and dashed it to pieces. One of the children, a girl about 7 years of age, was most horribly mangled, and will probably lose both her legs; the second, a boy, had his arm shattered; and the third is seriously wounded by the wheel running over his body. We do not understand that the man was much injured.
