BONES OF INDIAN
Found by Workmen Excavating For
Power Plant on Otter Creek
Burlington, March 22.-C. W. Brownell,
who has returned from a trip
to Vergennes brought with him a box
of bones supposed to be those of an
Indian, which were found by workmen
excavating for the new power
plant of the Burlington Traction company
on Otter Creek.
The bones were found under a log
nine feet below the bed of the river
and are well preserved. They will
be submitted to the experts at the
state laboratory for examination and
classification.
